Poor Poor Chris Brown!!!

thatsreallyweek-853854668-1268505786.jpg

Most of us are familiar with the whole chris brown, Rihanna incident that happened about a year ago. If not i'll explain.. Basically Chris Brown was accused of beating his girlfriend at the time Rihanna the day of the Grammy's in a residential area. No one knows for sure what the issue was about that started this whole fight but many fingers where pointing to Rihanna reading a text message in Browns phone from another woman. The 20 year old singer-dancer who pleaded guilty to felony assault, is now on probation for five years. The big issue though is his music career is not looking so good.On wednesday Brown recently sent out a audio message on Say Now asking his fans to please help "bring him back". Some radio stations aren't playing his records and he says he really needs his fans help. Brown said " They're(radio stations) not being supportive and I wouldn't expect them to. But it's on the fans... It's in your power to bring me back". Brown refers to himself as a "better person" now and can you blame him? He says he is doing his music for the love, but his career is in jeopardy. Compared to his last two albums who were pretty successful his newest album Graffiti didn't do so good on the charts. Personally I love his voice and I think he is an amazing artists and i don't think it was right of what he did to her but i don't think his whole career should be over because of that incident. Nowadays in the music industry it's really rare to come across pure good talent. we have people like Soulja Boy and Lady Gaga who make me personally question what has the music industry world come to? people seriously can make a song about anything and its a number one hit..come on people get it together this is to sad. But back to the Brown issue i just think he needs to give it some time and let people cool down about the issue and maybe he'll be able to be number one on the charts again but for right he cant think that people have already for gotten about the situation. so with time, patience, and hard work he'll be back to selling out concerts and recording number one hits. If we look back to the whole Michael Jackson issue he did some many screw ups and people where always on his case but could you say he really didn't make a come back? Is this how its going to be in the Music Industry world one mistake or screwup and your whole career is over...what do you guys think?

Go home to your kids, Kate!

We all know the Jon & Kate Plus 8 reality show; it was annoying, irritating and a total waste of air time. Then came the drama of their divorce which was all over every news show & gossip magazine. Just when we thought we were done with these celebrity wannabes, we hear Kate is now on Dancing with the Stars! This is just the ultimate insult to our intelligence as TV viewers. There is no possible benefit to spend one hour a week watching such an unnecessary show. Plus, as a dancer, I know how many hours she would have to practice to learn these precise dance moves and to be competitive. As one of 5 children I also know how much time my parents spend with each of us and how little free time they have. So where does Kate Goslin think she will get the time to practice the dance moves plus help her kids with homework, listen to their stories, settle arguments, watch their ball games or tuck them into bed at night?!! She says she'll practice in her basement but she's fooling herself. When each of the eight kids comes downstairs to complain about something, to cry over something, to ask for help, or to tell her a story, does she think she's going to stop in the middle of a paso doble and listen?

Good riddance, Winter Olympics!

With the closing ceremony of the Vancouver Winter Olympics I can only feel, finally it’s over! This year’s winter games held no excitement, no anticipation and no fanfare except for the personal tragedies of the death of the Georgian luge racer who died during a practice run, the death of the French Canadian figure skater’s mother and the broken pinkie finger US skier Lindsey Vonn suffered in a crash during a race. There used to be a greater sense of national pride for each country and their teams. There used to be a greater focus on athletic ability and training. Now it seems the greatest victory is in who wears the highest-tech race suits or how much state-of-the-art engineering goes into their equipment (skis, snowboards, luges, etc.). Then there’s the debate over which country has the best athletes; is it the United States with the most total medals or Canada with the most gold medals? The Olympics is supposed to be a healthy outlet for countries to fight for superiority but somehow that feeling has been watered down. Everyone seems to be trying to be so politically correct these days that these lines of nationalism have been crossed; a Canadian audience actually chanted, “USA, USA” during a women’s hockey game—that’s unheard of! I think the real winners of the winter Olympics are the sweepers; these are the little kids that get to pick up the flowers, teddy bears & other gifts that are thrown onto the ice. You can see the pure and simple hopes and dreams still in their eyes that haven’t been affected by the commercialism of the Olympics.
